Even though Gotcha’s slogan is “we farm our own tea”, ironically most of their drinks are full of milk and sugar (or don’t have any tea at all). If you’re looking for a good tea or milk tea place, this isn’t it.
However if you’re in the mood for some little bit fancy or different, Gotcha has you covered - from collagen drinks to a suspiciously grey-looking bamboo charcoal milk tea. This fanciness does come with a slightly higher price tag, but to be fair the size of the drinks is quite large as well.
On their seasonal menu in May was their Black sesame oat fresh milk (7.4):
This drink had a strong sesame taste with some soft oats at the bottom. Probably not something I would order every day but it’s nice as a refreshing change.
If you’re looking for something a little more classic (and aesthetically pleasing). there’s the Black sugar fresh milk (7.2) which comes with some nice, soft pearls:
Unfortunately they don’t do milk substitutions but for soy-milk lovers (hello!), they do have one dedicated soy milk drink on the menu, a Double grass jelly soy milk (6.4):
This is quite literally grass jelly and soy milk (I don’t think there’s any tea involved). So you better really love your soy milk, otherwise I’d give this one a miss.
As a cheese foam fan, my personal favourite is the strawberry macchiato (7.6) which is a strawberry slushie with cheese foam on the top:
As a side note, they do charge a 1.5% card surcharge on orders under $15 (boo) so bring some cash if you want to save the money.
